This is what I found when I opened my frig tonight. This is what sent me into insta-tears. If you don't have kids stop reading this blog because you'll think I'm a freak show. If you are a dad you wont understand, so stop reading this blog. Only read this if you are a mother.

The insta-tears was prompted by the bowl of cereal. With the spoon. On top of the cheesecake. Hank had this bowl of cereal for a snack tonight. I forgot all about it untill I opened the frig. Why did I forget all about it? How did I forget all about it? Well.....because when Hank was done eating it he put it in the frig. "Saved" it for tomorrow. Now why would that send me into tears you ask? Here's why. Score 1 for mom teaching kids to be responsible. He cleaned up his snack, put it where it goes, and didn't waste any food. He's 3 people. THREE. Some of his friends are still pooping in their pants. 3.

Sesame Street will never be the same
My kids share in my love for pumpkin carving. They don't. I'm sorry people, but it's boring and stupid and kept my kids entertained for about 27 seconds.

Transformer and Spider Man. Neither of which are the costumes we (Papa) bought them to wear this year. Oh well, I've spent the past few weeks at WalMart with Obi-Won and Cookie Monster..so..they got some good use. Even if they didn't make an appearance Trick-or-Treating.

Now that I've eaten all of the good candy out of the Kowboys pumpkins I'll fill you in on the super fun last few weeks. Last weekend I went to the MOA with some of my fav. gals. Lots of good shopping, great food, and of course laugh till I pee. This is a yearly thing for me. Laugh till I pee.....out in the parking lot.....or in the super high end part of Nordstroms. I'm sorry, even at 33 a guy with his zipper down showing off his polka dotted underwear is really freakin' funny people. A nicer women would of told him. One like me would laugh till she pees. And FYI the Nordstrom workers DONOT get a kick out of Libby and I laughing for 40 minutes in the chairs outside the bathroom. I almost bought a $400 shirt just because I felt so guilty. Almost.

Brad and I had a fun Halloween weekend with 2 fun parties and much needed margaritas for big bird. Kowboys had fun trick-or-treating. Hank made it 2 blocks, got freaked out and stayed at a friends house to help pass out candy. Brods loaded up the pumpkin.

And, just for fun, here are a few "fun" things that happened in our house this week:

Culligan broke

Microwave broke

Oven caught on fire (thankfully just bacon grease and after a good cleaning all was good)

The garage door opener broke and a cable snapped and a big metal rod thingy came slamming down. Thank God nobody was standing there and miraculously it missed both vehicles.

Brad and I were bringing a keg to a party and locked the keys in the car. With the keg in the car. And no spare keys anywhere to be found.

And.....I did something a women should never ever ever do. I had a moment of craziness. The kids were playing dress up. I had a dress in there from when I was a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding. For some crazy a** reason I thought "hmmm...lets see if I can still fit in this." O.K., here was my thought process....when I wore the dress I was 21 weeks pg with Brody. So, I thought if I could wear this thing at 21 weeks pg I better the H fit in it now?! Uhhhh huhhhh. What I didn't tell my crazy brain is that I also lost about 15 pounds during the start of my preg. and heaved my brains out the entire pregnancy. So, yes, I was in the smoking hot glory days of my body at that wedding. Huge boobs and not showing even a teeny bit yet. Unlike my just ate all my kids Halloween candy and had McDonalds for lunch because they were begging for it and I didn't feel like going through the effort of making grilled cheese body. Not. NOT the same body. So, I got the dress stuck. Couldn't get it down, couldn't get it up. Stuck. I had to cut the thing off.

Mountain Lion. Not really.

I am sitting here listening to my kids sobbing in bed. Papa left for Arizona. Damn you Wisconsin winters. Just so you don't think I am leaving my kids broken hearted in bed while I search pinterest, etsy and NieNie blogs.....I have been comforting them for an hour. Now, it's time for the little monkies to fall asleep. God bless them....xoxoxoxo
Since I am in need of a good laugh...I'll tell you a classic Ebeth story.

The other day I was driving home from Iron River and was about half way to Eagle River. For those of you that don't live here, it is a huge beautiful forest area. I drove past a lady speed walking (side note....that freaks me out. I mean, just jog. The arm swinging thing scares me.) I thought "weird?" I have no idea where she came from as it is the middle of no where. About 5 miles down the road I see something moving in the woods. MOUNTAIN LION.

I screamed. Slowed down and pulled over. Huge yellow tail. Pointy ears. I grabbed my Iphone tried to snap a pic and then realized "Oh my gosh.....that lady....I need to go tell her there is a mountain lion and give her a ride. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if she got attacked and he ate her face off and used her jugular vein for dental floss." So I quickly turned the car around. Started speeding toward her and the mountain lion picked his head up.

Ummm...wait a minute? I didn't know mountain lions wore collars. Blue collars with tags. Dog tags. Ooopsie. Guess it was a yellow lab/germain sheperd mix.

Sorry lady. Enjoy your walk. In my defense...they have seen them in Eagle River. Confirmed sightings. With pictures. And no dog collars.

FUN

This weekend was brought to you by the letter F, U and N. We kicked off the weekend by having a baby shower for a very special friend who is pg with her FOURTH baby. That's like a million. Love that Katie Lidner. xoxoxoxo Aren't my table decorations just fab?
How cute is she? After the shower we went to mass and watched B.Herb sing in choir. His very first choir performance. Look out Justin Timberlake....

Then we went to the "White Steak" for dinner at B. Herb's request. Ya know, every 4 year old's fav. restaurant is the White Stag. They also had their cousin sleep over. Love that Milly.

On Sunday we celebrated B's birthday. A month early. He wanted Papa to be here for the celebration. Nothing says party like some pin the tail on the donkey.

Papa wanted in on the fun.

The almost 5 year old.

Lobbying for 2 cupcakes. I think he had 7.

Potato gun+my kids=hours of fun

Herb said this was the "best party he's ever had."

Happy Anniversary

Beer in a plastic cup. Keep it classy.

Today is my 7 year anniversary. 7 years ago I said "I do" and changed my name to something no telemarketer in the history of telemarketers can pronounce. Mrs. Ka-vee-esss-ski.

As I was looking through pics trying to post one of the 2 of us I realized we hardly have any. Mostly because I am always the one with the camera, or I am always in yoga pants with my hair in a ponytail, while B is usually in grown up work clothes. Makes for a weird pic. Hot business like polish guy standing next to lady who didn't fit in a shower that day. So, in the future I will take more pics of me and the hubs. I'll just tell everybody I worked out A LOT in my 30's. Lie.

Anyway....I wish it was 7 years and 1 day ago. I had the most fun rehearsal party EVER!!! We did a cookout, invited all the guests that were in town, and partied it up. I have to say....too anybody getting married....do this!! Your wedding day is busy. You don't get to spend much time with any one person. And, you get to have 2 fun days with all the people you love. Fun.

So...here are just a few reasons why my husband is just the guy for me....

1. He give me ALL his ginger and wasabi when we get sushi.

2. He gets me lattes on Sat and Sun even though he doesn't drink coffee. And, he gets out of bed and gets them early in the morning. And, he asks for a sleeve.

3. He understands my obsession with Country Living magazine.

4. He doesn't ever put my jeans in the dryer.

5. He gasses up my car

6. When he makes the bed he puts all the pillows back on. All 9. Even though he thinks it's ridiculous to have 9 pillows. 9.

7. He never complains over all my fun "house projects."

8. He always drives. I hate to drive.

9. He organizes the silver wear drawer.

and last but not least......

He never disappoints on Christmas lights.

I love you Brad. You're a good man.

That poor Jehovah Witness

I let my kids wear whatever they want. Whatever. Whether it be a tuxedo, tiger costume, Obi-Won Kenobi, or in todays case....an Indian costume. (He did have to wear a shirt when we ran errands.) But, all day B was wearing the head feather, my necklace, and the weapon belt. Today just may have been the funniest day of my life. Ever.

B and my dad were playing Indians outside when somebody knocked on my door. I, thinking it was Grammie, yelled "quiet dogs.....shhhhhhh.....come in" Only to find a Jehovah Witness standing at my door. Ok, let me preface this story by saying I mean no disrespect to people of that religion. They are just as entitled to their beliefs as I. So, now that we have the politically correctness out of the way....oh and B was playing Native American.....here's the story. So, I walk to the door and say "can I help you?" And she says "yes, I noticed you have children and I would like to offer you some information on how to raise responsible children" Trust me lady...your gonna need more than a 20 page glossy book for that. Anyway, she then proceeds before I can get a word in to start reading me some passages from her book.

While she is reading her book....I can see B sneaking up behind her out of the woods. She stops half way through the passage and says "it is very difficult to raise a child in this violent world....with all this violence" Meanwhile, B is crouched behind her in his Indian pounce position...holding his knife out. Seriously people, you can't make this stuff up.

I am in hysterical laughter....she turns around and says "maybe I can come back another time." And drove quickly away.....crying....in a fetal position.

I LOVE MY KIDS!!!!!!!

Sunday, October 2, 2011

This weekend was updating Kowboy shrine wall in the hallway. The kids have a wall of super awesome baby pics of their first 12 months of cuteness. I have yet to update any of these pics. Not because I don't have 786,928,0245 pics that could go in their spot, but because I just don't want to come to terms with the fact that the Kowboys are growing up. However, I have to say that if you came to my house you would probably think "I didn't know she had 4 kids?" Nope, just the Kowboy's baby pics. So, today I decided to replace some of the pics. I left my fav. and updated some. So.....here's some.......

For those of you that don't have kids you won't realize the awesomeness of this pic.. Yes, B isn't exactly smiling...and H has a deer in the headlights look...but

1. They are BOTH looking at the camera

2. Neither is choking the other

3. Each of them is in the center of the pic and you can see all of each of their faces.

Mom...JACKPOT!!

Lock up your daughters

Of course we needed one with a weapon. Cutest outlaw I've ever seen!

Wow is all I can say about this one. Wow to how old he looks and Wow to how handsome!

Every kid loves a leaf pic!

Cutest Sheriff round these parts!!!!
